The current market isn't on fire, but it's not as bad as some people predicted.  Right around the 4th of July there was a noticeable increase in sales activity.  We saw a flurry of property showings and contracts for a few weeks.  Things have slowed down a little since then, but we're still seeing well-priced homes move.  Typically, the first two weeks of August are busy.  After that, we usually see a slow down as people take vacations and get ready for the school year.  There should be quite a bit of inventory on the market going into September.  That means that buyers will likely get better deals and sellers will need to be as competitive as possible.
